The State of Tennessee requires all servers and bartenders who serve alcohol to attend an approved responsible alcohol program to receive a State issued Alcohol Beverage Commission server permit.  This permit is good for 5 years.

The requirements to receive this permit besides attending the 5 hour responsible alcohol program is; you must be 18 years of age to serve alcohol as a server or a bartender in the State of Tennessee and you can not have any felonies in the last four years or certain felonies in the last 8 years. The cost for the 5 hour ServSafe class to receive your Alcohol Beverage Commission’s server permit is $60.00.  Our classes are held monthly at the Professional Bartending School campus located at 2710 Old Lebanon Pike, Suite 218, Nashville, TN  37214. 

The classes are held twice a month on Sundays from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. Call the campus at (615) 885-5948 for class schedules and availability. You must pre-register and pay in advance to save yourself a spot in our ABC Class. Our classes fill up fast so contact us as soon as possible to guarantee your spot in our class.

Your fees will cover the ServSafe class, all class materials, a $10.00 fee to the State of Tennessee, notary charge, and postage to receive you ABC Permit by mail. Our instructors will save you the trip of driving downtown to pick up your 5 year ABC Card. You’ll receive your permit by mail or we can fax it to your employer.
