Nashville Bartending Course Information

One of the questions the public frequently asks, is "What's the difference between a bartender and a mixologist?" We think of the difference between a mixologist and a bartender as being similar to the differences between a chef and a cook. A mixologist has received more extensive training, has greater industry knowledge and usually works in the more upscale food and beverage establishments. In addition, a mixologist usually commands a higher base salary and can expect more tips due to an increased drink repetoire.

Our Professional Bartending/Mixology course is a forty hour course which consists of ten four-hour bartending classes. Our Professional Bartending/Mixology program can be completed over a one, two or five week period. New bartending classes start each week.

The graduates of our mixology course will have learned how to professionally prepare 125 traditional drinks as well as the latest trendy drinks that are popular in each city. Drinks range from the traditional martini & manhattan to the ever popular sex on the beach. In addition, the student will learn beer, wine, responsible alcohol service and professional customer service techniques. The school uses the Anheuser-Busch "Beertender" training program and the Guinness Beer "Perfect Pour" training program.

The tuition for our 40-hour Professional Bartending/Mixology course is based on the average income of a professional bartender in the greater Nashville area. We have found that most of our graduates can earn their full tuition back in as little as one week on the job.

Our 2010 tuition for our 40-hour course is only $595.00. This same program was $695.00 for over 10 years here at the Nashville campus. Due to the huge demand for bartenders in this area, our program tuition was lowered to $595.00 to help fill the demand for part time and full time bartenders. Payment options are available and are only discussed during your personal interview/school tour. We accept all major credit cards.

Please call us at (615) 885-5800 for more information and to schedule your personal interview and school tour.
